Newly Assigned Noncommission Officer Course
The Nevada Army National Guard is looking for highly motivated and competent future leaders. NANCOC is a three day course to prepare your new and upcoming NCO’s for a Team Leader or Section Sergeant position in the NVARNG. NANCOC is not a WLC prep-course, WLC graduates need not apply. It is also Non-MOS specific in that they will learn what every NCO in every MOS in the NVARNG needs to know. They will learn the skills they need to be successful on Drill Weekend with an emphasis on taking care of Soldiers.
The following are minimum requirements to attend NANCOC:
- Must be the rank of SPC(P), CPL, or newly promoted SGT within the last year.
- Have not completed WLC.
- Must be recommended to attend by the Soldier's Commander or 1SG.
- Must meet APFT standards IAW FM 21-20
- Must meet height weight standards IAW AR 600-9.
