The Nevada National Guard Family Programs provides assistance to military members during times of deployment or when the Soldier/Airman is unable to provide necessary information to the family.
Our Mission is to establish and facilitate ongoing communication, involvement, support and recognition between Nevada Guard members, their families, extended family and community members in a partnership that helps prepare and cope with the demands of a military life.
Our Communications Network is constantly expanding. Our communications goal is to achieve 100% contact to all Nevada Guardsman who are deployed on a special operation, Guardsmen, family, and community who are concerned about the on-goings of the Nevada National Guard, and to anyone requesting activity or event information.

Our purpose is to assist retirees in providing retirement information on state and federal benefits and privileges, and provide other information, which may be helpful in administering personal affairs. The Army Retirement Services Program was started in November 1955 to provide an effective channel of communication between the Army and retired Guardsmen. The program is educational in nature. The Army is concerned with retirees’ well-being and wants to keep them informed of the benefit and privileges to which they, their eligible family members, and survivors may be entitled. Every year legislation changes and retirees may be entitled to new and increased benefits. We assist 'Gray Area Retirees' and regular retirees refers to members who have received their notification of eligibility to receive retired pay at age 60 (aka 20-year letter) We have quarterly breakfast/lunch meetings to keep the retirees and their families up to date on current issues. We also host an annual Retiree Appreciation Day. |
