Force Headquarters State (JFHQ-State) Mission Statement
The JFHQ-State maintains trained and equipped forces as reserve
components of the Army and Air Force and performs missions
as directed by the state or Federal authorities. The JFHQ-State
supports command and control of all assigned Army and Air
National Guard forces. In accordance with policies and procedures
established by the capabilities to provide one or more joint
force command elements able to exercise command and control
of Homeland Defense, Defense Support to Civil Authorities,
and/or other domestic emergency missions in a state active
duty title 32 or title 10 status. In addition, the JFHQ-State
provides expertise and situational awareness to DoD authorities
to facilitate integration pf federal and state activities. |
National Guard Bureau (NGB) Mission Statement The NGB as a joint bureau is the channel of communication between the Secretaries and the Chiefs of the Army and Air Force and the several states on all matters pertaining to the National Guard. On behalf of the Secretary of the Army and the Secretary of the Air Force, the NGB provides situational awareness on National Guard matters affecting Homeland Defense the Combatant Commands, and the Joint Staff. In accordance with direction from the Secretaries of the Army and the Air Force, the NGB administers Department of Defense, Department of the Army and Department of the Air Force polices, programs, and plans pertaining to National Guard matters, and facilitates the integration of Federal and State activities. To the extent allowed by law, integration activities may include facilitation of mutual support among the states. The NGB distributes and administers the budgets for the Army and Air National Guard. |

OUR MISSION
The JFHQ-Nevada maintains trained and equipped forces as reserve components of the Army and Air Force and performs missions as directed by state or Federal authorities. The JFHQ-Nevada supports command and control of all assigned Army and Air National Guard forces. In accordance with policies and procedures established by the Secretary of the Army and the Secretary of the Air Force, the JFHQ-Nevada will establish the capability to provide one or more joint task force command elements able to execute command and control of Homeland Defense, Defense Support to Civil Authorities, and/or domestic emergency missions in a State Active Duty, title 32 or title 10 status. In addition, the JFHQ-Nevada provides expertise and situational awareness for DoD forces which will facilitate integration of federal and state activities
